LOLER inspections are required on all lifts which are used at a place of work.
If you are responsible for a lift which is used whist working, you have a legal responsibility to ensure it is maintained and in safe working order. Work is defined as any location where work takes place which includes both paid and unpaid work. So, even if the property is residential, if other trades have access to the lift (like cleaners, carers or a fire/security company), this means that the lift needs a regular LOLER examination. LOLER examinations are mandatory.
Can Nordic Lifts carry out a LOLER examination on my lift?
