We understand the urgency felt by both trapped passengers and staff on site when a passenger becomes trapped in a lift. Even with a 1 hour response time, this can be simply too long in some circumstances and in this case, we recommend emergency release training. This course is designed for staff who are nominated to carry out the safe release of trapped lift passengers. It provides the competence to rescue passengers trapped in a lift in accordance with BS7255:2012 Safe Working on Lifts.
Training
Our bespoke training packages combines both theory and practical application.
- Full demonstration of the safe release procedure
- Teaches basis basic lift technology
- The role of the lifts safety systems and the hazards associated with passenger release

- All candidates will be assessed both practically and theoretically
- Competence based certificates will be issued.
Training takes place on your premises so that staff learn to operate your lift equipment. By the end of the course, candidates will have a basic understanding of how a lift operates and be able to safely rescue passengers trapped in a lift.
Price
Training is offered in groups of 6 and is a fixed price per day. All travel costs and disbursements are included in the cost.
